Digital guest guide · Holiday home · Costa Blanca

Your holiday home has a website. What does the guest get on arrival?

Usually a crumpled folder with a WiFi code that no longer works. I build you a digital guest guide: the guest scans a QR and has everything on their phone. In three languages, no App Store.

In short

A digital guest guide is a mobile web page your holiday-home guest opens by scanning a QR code, with no app to download. It holds the WiFi password, house rules, how the appliances work, the emergency numbers and curated Marina Alta recommendations, in English, German and Spanish. I build it for you fully finished for 290 € one-time, with the whole first year included; from year two it is 99 € a year to keep it online and current. No monthly subscription, and your content is yours. Plus 21% IVA.

One detail decides the review

You've put real money into your place. Then one detail decides the review: the guest can't find the fuse box, can't work the AC, sorts the recycling wrong. They call on a Sunday night, on holiday. Or they don't call, and it goes in the review.

A weak review over poor communication costs you more bookings than the guide costs in a year.

How it works

  • You send me what matters in your place: WiFi, house rules, how the appliances work, emergency numbers.
  • I turn it into a clean digital guide, in English, German and Spanish.
  • You get a QR code that your guests scan in the flat.
  • The guest scans, adds it to their home screen and finds everything themselves. Once loaded, it works offline too, if the villa WiFi gets flaky.

Curated Marina Alta tips are included from day one: beaches in Jávea, restaurants in Dénia, hikes on the Montgó. The guest gets real tips and you never have to write a travel guide.

You change what matters, I look after the rest

The WiFi password or a phone number you change yourself, in seconds, straight from your phone. Everything else I look after: you send it to me and I update it, usually the same day. No dashboard to learn, no login to forget. A booking system is a tool you operate. My guide is the opposite: you get it finished and hand it to your guests.

The monthly subscription tools make you manage everything yourself and pay every month. With me you pay once instead of monthly, and your content is yours: I give it to you as a file on request, and if you later get your own website I move the guide there at no cost.

I'm based in Dénia and have known the Marina Alta for over 20 years. The recommendations in your guide don't come from some database, they come from here.

WDCB guest guide vs. the guide in your booking system (Smoobu, Lodgify)

Booking systems like Smoobu or Lodgify often come with a built-in guide. The difference isn't the technology, it's who does the work and who owns the content.

You keep your booking system for the bookings; the guide complements it. And if you let without a system like that, you need extra software even less.

Several properties or an agency?

If you rent out several holiday homes or manage a portfolio as an agency, I set up all the guides centrally, in one consistent look. Each additional property costs less than the first, and from several objects there's a tiered price. Tell me how many properties we're talking about and I'll work it out for you.

€290 one-time

Included in the first year:

  • Build of the complete guide
  • Translation into three languages (English, German, Spanish)
  • Curated Marina Alta recommendations
  • QR code to print
  • WiFi and phone you change yourself, anytime
  • Up to three larger updates
  • Running and hosting for the first year

From the second year: €99 a year keeps the guide online and current, including small changes and a yearly refresh of the recommendations. Cancellable anytime. No monthly subscription.

For comparison: the monthly subscription tools make you fill the guide yourself and pay every month indefinitely, usually 8 to 15 €. Over the years that adds up. With me I build the guide for you, you pay 290 € once, then 99 € a year.

You don't need your own web address for it. The guest scans the QR code, the guide sits on my server, I keep it online.

Extra language: €50 · Another property in the region: €230 · Larger change outside the allowance: €20 per change. All agreed in advance.

All prices plus 21% IVA.

Frequently asked questions

Does my guest need to download an app?

No. The guide runs in the browser. The guest scans the QR code in the flat or opens a link you send before arrival, and has everything on their phone. They can add it to the home screen and it works offline too. No Apple App Store, no Google Play.

Can I make changes myself?

The WiFi password and phone numbers you change yourself, in seconds from your phone. Every other change I handle for you, usually the same day. The first year includes up to three larger updates; after that €20 per change, or included in the yearly fee from year two.

Which languages is the guide available in?

English, German and Spanish as standard, and French on request. So every international guest understands the house rules, the check-out and the emergency numbers in their own language.

I already use Smoobu, Lodgify or another booking system. Do I even need this?

Booking systems like Smoobu or Lodgify often come with a built-in guide, but it ships empty: you fill and maintain it yourself, usually in English only. And a booking system is something you operate. My guide I build for you, fully finished, in three languages, with real Marina Alta recommendations, without you having to learn another system. You keep your booking system for the bookings; the guide complements it. And if you let your flat yourself, without a system like that, you need software even less: you simply get a finished guide.

What makes this different from the built-in guides in booking systems?

The basic guides in the big systems ship empty, you would have to enter every beach and restaurant yourself. My guide comes pre-filled with curated Marina Alta recommendations: beaches in Jávea, restaurants in Dénia, hikes on the Montgó. A global provider cannot deliver that.

What about the guest registration requirement?

The legal registration of travellers (Real Decreto 933/2021) is a separate obligation and runs through the authorities’ system. The guide doesn’t replace it, and for liability reasons I don’t rebuild it myself. If you want to automate that step, I recommend a specialised check-in service like Chekin and link it from the guide on request.

Do I need my own web address or hosting?

No. The guest scans the QR code, so no own web address is needed. The guide sits on my server and I keep it online. The first year is included; from the second year it is €99 a year.

Is this a monthly subscription?

No. €290 one-time, with the whole first year included. From the second year, a yearly fee of €99 keeps the guide online and current, with small changes and a yearly refresh of the recommendations. No monthly subscription, cancellable anytime, and I give you your content as a file on request. All prices plus 21% IVA.

And if I cancel later?

The yearly fee is cancellable anytime. You get your content as a file, and if you have your own website I move the guide there at no cost. No subscription you can’t get out of, no content stuck somewhere.
