Air conditioning
Each room has its own remote. Blue = cooling, 24 degrees is recommended. Please keep windows and doors closed while it runs, and switch it off when you leave.
Pool
The pool pump runs automatically morning and evening, please don’t adjust it. Rinse off before swimming, and never leave children unattended by the water.
Kitchen & dishwasher
Dishwasher tablets are under the sink. The oven is fan-assisted, the middle symbol. Coffee: capsule machine, capsules in the right-hand drawer.
Washing machine
In the utility room next to the kitchen. The Eco 40-degree programme handles almost everything, about two hours. Detergent is beside it.

My personal recommendations
Stefan & Andrea Brandt
Not from a database, but from someone who lives here.
Our favourite spot
Cala Granadella
When we have guests, this is where we take them first. Early, while the water is still glass-clear and the car park empty. A coffee at the kiosk, and the day truly begins.

Beaches & sea
The coves I head to myself when I want the sea.
Nature & active
On foot, on the water or below the surface, for anyone who wants more than the pool.
Culture & sights
Places with a story, for the afternoon the sea takes a break.
Fiestas & music
If you’re here at the right moment, you see the place as the locals celebrate it. I’ll pass you the dates.
Food & markets
Where I shop and where I eat, from the market hall to fish at the harbour.
For every moment
A few ideas, depending on the mood.
Right now in the Marina Alta
What’s on these weeks, kept current by me.
- Early July Bous a la Mar at Dénia harbour; the whole town is out.
- Friday mornings Moraira weekly market, good for fruit, cheese and a bit of bustle.
- Warm summer evenings Concerts up at the Castell de Dénia, overlooking the harbour.
Learn Spanish
A few words of Spanish change the way you travel. My recommendation, from home too:
